About our centre

Our seven bedroom supported accommodation centre is designed wholly around the needs of the young people and preparing them for independent living. Each bedroom has its own en-suite or allocated bathroom along with its own fridge freezer. 

There is a large communal lounge for group activities along with a dining room where twice a week the young people are given the opportunity to learn new cooking skills and try different cuisines, preparing and eating a meal together. We also have a lovely enclosed garden for barbeques in the summer. We have a private meeting room for visiting professionals, counselling and one-to-one work.

The house is situated within walking distance of the town centre for access to local colleges and work opportunities. It is directly on the bus route making it ideally situated for transport links both locally and further a field.

Our services: care and support

Denma working in partnership with Centrepoint will provide each young person living at Sun House with their own individual support plan based on an assessment of their needs. This will be in conjunction with their pathway plan with achievable SMART targets for them to work towards completing. Their asigned caseworker will have regular meetings with them and update their social worker on their progress at agreed intervals.

We will attend appointments, education providers open days and interviews along with being their appropriate adult for legal situations as needed.
